Went to “Despicable Me” screening with the family tonight, thanks to our fabulous neighbors. A little slow at first, but a WONDERFUL movie.

In This Moment

Ashamed to admit, but I’m digging In This Moment. Not normally a fan of female singers–wife excepted. And “Into The Light?” Tearjerker.

Manage Your Music with Foobar

How-To: Manage Your Music the Power User Way with Foobar.  This is my media player of choice at this point.  Very customizable, and the library is nice and fast.  Much better than iTunes…

Xbox 360 + U-Verse TV = awesome

Xbox 360 will support AT&T’s U-Verse TV later this year — Engadget.  Too bad I can’t get U-Verse, or I’d switch in a heartbeat.

Hands on: Lala.com’s cloud music store changes everything

ArsTechnica | Hands on: Lala.com’s cloud music store changes everything.  This is seriously cool.  If you haven’t checked it out, it’s definitely worth doing.

So much better than iTunes–much cheaper–10 cents for unlimited streaming of a song?!–and 89 cents for a DRM-free MP3 of the song.  Which the 10 cent trial counts towards.  So Sarah & I can spend $1 and listen to 10 new worship songs–an unlimited number of times–to help us determine whether or not we can/want to do them for church.  All from the comfort of our basement.
Oh, and they also have a tool that allows you to put your entire library online–like an automatic backup of all of your tunes–legally or illegally obtained.  They automatically link up some songs–I’m guessing those of you with iTunes will have great success–but all of the rest of the “non-linkable” stuff gets uploaded to their servers.  When you have thousands of CDs like I do, it takes a while for all of the “offbeat” stuff to get uploaded…I’m on day two…  :)

All of that said, just set up an account and check it out.  Since you get 50 free songs, it’s definitely worth at least checking out stuff you’ve been considering…

3 Ways to Play Unplayable Videos on your PC | MakeUseOf.com.  I use VLC all the time–and highly recommend it–but the “build an executable movie” option is just way cool.
