The one thing I should point out is that while the Democrats are pretty much universally pushing this crap, the Republicans have not fought it like they should, according to their stated objectives.
Neither major party is in the right on this one–just those freaky outsiders…like the Libertarians…

Death by Overcoding: Micromanaging – Tasks versus Goals. Great article. I wish everyone in the corporate world understood this. Especially the part about “show up between 8am and 5pm every day, because that’s how work gets done”.
How much longer are we going to be slaves to that mentality?
