Magnifying Taste
Magnifying Taste: New Chemicals Trick the Brain into Eating Less | Scientific American. This type of stuff is extremely cool. While the diet aspect is good for fat Americans, the ability to use more “nasty” “filler” foodstuffs could significantly aid the Third World in reducing hunger…

A Million Terrorists? | The Foundation for Economic Education: In Brief. A-freaking-men. After having to deal with the TSA again for the third trip this summer, I’m just totally done.

allSnap
allSnap: make all windows snap. This is just sweet.
Unix window managers have done this for years–since I used the SparcStations at K-State…in 1993)–but now all of the Windows weenies can have it, too!
SteadyState
SteadyState – Mess up, Reboot & Everything Is Fixed! | MakeUseOf.com. This is definitely useful if you want to try out some random software tool. I was a freeware junkie there for a while, and it was definitely a pain trying to recover from some of the “subpar” installers.
Back then, I used VMWare or VirtualPC. This might make all of that unnecessary.
Mint.com
Mint.com – Reviews by PC Magazine. This is a fantastic (free) online finance tool. Definitely worth looking into if you aren’t married to MSMoney or Quicken yet. Since I hate Intuit and Microsoft, it’s perfect for me!
