General George S. Patton was assassinated to silence his criticism of allied war leaders claims new book – Telegraph. Sure. This may just be some crazy bunch of fiction. But the more that I understand just how corrupt our government–any government, actually–is, the more I think it’s pretty damn plausible.
As Lord Acton said:
“Power tends to corrupt, and absolute power corrupts absolutely. Great men are almost always bad men.”
