Fantastic article…and I couldn’t agree more.
About Those “Death Panels”

The Freeman | Ideas On Liberty » About Those “Death Panels”. Just in case you haven’t figured it out yet…
Yes, some of the rhetoric coming out of the neocon camp is ridiculous. But there’s no question that rationing is going to occur…and that it’s going to be a lot scarier than any of us can imagine.
AUGUST BURNS RED drum cover
Announcing the winners of the AUGUST BURNS RED drum cover contest | Metal Injection. This is totally sweet. I love me some ABR.
The True Odds of Airborne Terror Chart

The True Odds of Airborne Terror Chart – Gizmodo. Just in case you thought that all of these new restrictions make sense–they don’t. It’s just another way for the government to move us further down the path to a complete police state.
Seriously, at this point, anyone that tries anything on a flight is going to get pounded into dust. Even if a terrorist has manages to get a gun on the plane, somebody on the plane will sacrifice themselves to get it away from them–I know I would.
So all of the extra “security procedures” are a waste of time and money. Just imagine how much productive work all of those worthless TSA officials could be doing. Completely worthless overheard.

Official Google Blog: The meaning of open. A good example of why I’m a fan of Google. These guys “get it”.
Programmer pay
Why programmers are not paid in proportion to their productivity — The Endeavour. Absolutely true.
And just one more reason that the corporate IT ecosystem is hopelessly broken. The weenies in management have no idea what productivity is when it comes to programming.
The most effective and useful code I’ve ever written has taken me almost no time to produce. Any project that took me longer than a month to produce I considered a failure, because I wanted my users to have something to solve their problems now. That’s what computers are for, right? Instant gratification?
Senate Passes Health Care

Senate Passes Health Care | The Freeman | Ideas On Liberty. Mark this day on your calendars, because it’s the beginning of the end. If this abomination gets reconciled with the House version and comes to fruition, our economy will be completely destroyed within 10 years. The dollar will be nearly worthless, and we’ll have the fabulous health rationing of the all of the other socialist countries.
Good luck getting good health care for your ailing elderly–they’re almost dead anyway. And you think emergency rooms are bad now? Just wait.
I’ve always hated politicians. But these back-door dealing weasels are completely shameless. And destroying my country.
I am not a happy man.
